Kristen Sorenson

As an experienced tattooer and published artist, Kristen will work with you to make your tattoo ideas come to life! Not limiting herself to any specialty, she welcomes color, black and gray, realism, cover-ups, traditional, fine line, and any other style you have in mind. Large and small projects are all welcomed!

​“I love tattoos and officially started my career tattooing back in July 2018. I opened Velvet Tattoo Parlor LLC in September 2019 with the goal of making it a comfortable, welcoming studio for everyone. I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and moved to Long Island, NY with my mom at a young age. I have always had an interest in pursuing a career in art, but it did not seem possible. When I started tattooing, I fell in love with how I can be creative, be myself, and help people love their bodies at the same time. I love baking, reading, drawing, video games, anime/manga and taking naps. I am also a sucker for stickers and pins.”

Nicole Lynn Cortese

Nicole was born and raised on Long Island, NY and has an artistic background in a variety of arts. Having passion for fine art and illustration at an early age, she also developed an interest for video game design. She studied computer art, 3D animation, and visual effects at the School of Visual Arts, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Intrigued by tattoos and nostalgic about creating with her hands, Nicole is pursuing her tattoo career.
